History

Established in The Sultanate of Oman circa 1976 Al-Seeb Technical Establishment (SARCO) a partnership firm owned by Mr. Juma Al Majid of the UAE and Mr. Abdullah Moosa Abdul Rahman of the Sultanate of Oman.

From a modest start half a century ago the Juma Al Majid group of companies has grown to span a host of diverse businesses from consumer electronics and construction to telecommunications and shipping. One thing has however remained constant – an urge to satisfy all its customers, big or small, through a mix of honesty, integrity and social awareness. With the growth of Dubai as the commercial hub of the region the group has emerged as a strong leader in its entire endeavor.

History

Moosa Abdul Rahman group of companies is one of the oldest business houses in the Sultanate of Oman having been formed in the year 1927.

Its interests vary from trading in automobiles to construction equipment. The company’s policy is to provide the very best to the customers via excellence in customer care, customer satisfaction, facilities and systems.

SARCO Oman was born in 1976 with the combined business acumen of the above two major corporate houses in the Middle East.

The group, since its inception has grown into an organization with diversified interests in trading, engineering and manufacturing & contracting of interior decoration and MEP services.

Though the company has been associated with furniture and furnishing since the early eighties, the manufacturing and contracting arm of Sarco, Oman came into formal existence in the year 1992, under the name Shamel International Industries, Trading & Contracting LLC with the setting up of a purpose-built factory spread over 55,000m² area, in the industrial suburb of Ghala in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

The company today employs more than 900 skilled workers, design, managerial and support staff in its interiors setup.

Contract Furnishing and interiors of Shamel have a rich expression of prestige and artistry; Palaces, Museums, Hotels , Airports and other establishments.

Shamel International has been associated with some of the most prestigious projects in the Sultanate of Oman, both private and public.

In addition to a number of successfully completed projects which involved highly intricate woodwork and joinery for the Diwan of Royal Court and other government ministries, Royal Office, Royal Yacht, Royal Opera House and departments, the company has been involved in the furnishing of properties for the Inter-Continental, Radisson SAS, Grand Hyatt, The Chedi, Novotel, Crowne Plaza, Al- Bustan Palace Hotel, Palm Jumeirah-The Atlantis-Dubai, Hilton Hotel Group-Ras Al Khaimah,UAE, JW Marriot Hotel, Juhu-Mumbai and Mumbai & Bengaluru International Airports.

History

Core Competencies : Joinery, Gypsum, Soft furnishing & GFRG/GRC PRODUCTS, POLISHED PLASTER, Decorative Painting - purpose built factory spread over an area of 55,000 sqm.

Since it’s inception Shamel has carved out a niche image for itself in the market executing major ID Fit out works – Turnkey Interior Fit Out Projects.
