Established in The Sultanate of Oman circa 1976 Al-Seeb Technical Establishment (SARCO) a partnership firm owned by Mr. Juma Al Majid of the UAE and Mr. Abdullah Moosa Abdul Rahman of the Sultanate of Oman. From a modest start half a century ago the Juma Al Majid group of companies has grown to span a host of diverse businesses from consumer electronics and construction to telecommunications and shipping. Moosa Abdul Rahman group of companies is one of the oldest business houses in the Sultanate of Oman having been formed in the year 1927. SARCO Oman was born in 1976 with the combined business acumen of the above two major corporate houses in the Middle East. Though the company has been associated with furniture and furnishing since the early eighties, the manufacturing and contracting arm of Sarco, Oman came into formal existence in the year 1992, under the name Shamel International Industries, Trading & Contracting LLC with the setting up of a purpose-built factory spread over 55,000m² area, in the industrial suburb of Ghala in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The company today employs more than 900 skilled workers, design, managerial and support staff in its interiors setup.
